We've organized our classes by pace, so you can feel encouraged to try the pace that feels good to you.
Please Note: Not all of the class types below are currently available on our schedule.
Online Classes: Our teachers typically open the Zoom yoga classes approximately 10-15 minutes prior to class. Your pj's, kids, dogs, wandering roommates or spouses are all totally welcome! Our practicing yogi's microphones are muted, so no one will ever be the wiser. That's the beauty of practicing via Zoom! Grab your props, if desired, roll out your mat and let's do yoga together.
In-Studio Classes: When the doors are open, our studios don't have a reception desk, so we are typically open 15 minutes before and after class. Please bring your own yoga mat. Upon re-opening, we will not be renting mats or other props. We do have many things available for sale at the studio if looking to purchase new or upgrade your equipment. If you have props and enjoy using them as part of your practice yoga blocks, a yoga strap, a stiff blanket or yoga bolsters are great items to bring along as well, but are not necessary to participate! Wear comfy clothes that you can move in!
Slow Pace:
GENTLE YOGA: Gentle Yoga is a Hatha-based class for all levels. If you are new to yoga, you may find this class particularly welcoming. There will be a mild flow and it moves at a pace that allows everyone to follow along easily. There will also be modifications offered to anyone that is challenged by a particular pose. If you are nervous about trying yoga or getting back into it, this is the perfect class for you. Additionally, if you prefer a softer, mindfully paced class, Gentle Flow will be a perfect addition to your weekly routine.
GENTLE YOGA WITH SILKS (AERIAL YOGA): If you are new to yoga with silks, you may find this class particularly welcoming. Gentle Yoga with Silks truly is a practice for all levels, and the focus is on learning the poses, relaxing and finding juicy stretches at your own pace. There will also be modifications offered to anyone that is challenged by a particular pose. YIN YOGA: Yoga Hive Yin Yoga is a quiet and simple practice, but not necessarily an easy practice. It is slow paced, with very few postures involved. However, it works deeply into our body. It targets our deepest tissues, our connective tissues — ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body — rather than the muscles. Suited for all levels, this is a great way to relax and restore!
RESTORATIVE YOGA: After a long weekend on the slopes, on the trails, or perhaps a particularly stressful time at work, head over to Yoga Hive for this extremely relaxing class. Not focused on breaking a sweat, but rather stretching and lengthening the body, providing release for the body and mind.
Medium Pace:
HONEY FLOW: Honey Flow is a class that focuses on proper alignment, conscious breathing and mindfulness. Emphasis is placed on longer held poses, flexibility, balance and concentration. The intention of this class is to relax and rejuvenate the body and calm the mind. A great class for those interested in stronger postures, basic alignment principles, and adapting more challenging poses for their own limitations if needed. All levels encouraged and supported.
HONEY FLOW WITH SILKS (AERIAL YOGA): Just as we do on the mat, Honey Flow with Silks is a class that focuses on proper alignment, conscious breathing and mindfulness while using silk hammocks to lengthen and deepen the postures. The silk is used similar to a strap in a mat class, and gentle inversions and flowing movements are likely. If you've never taken a silks class before, this one is a great place to start — come with an open mind!
Fast Pace: HIVE FLOW: Hive Flows exist to get you moving. Open to all levels, the class will initially move through "vinyasa" (flowing with breath) to warm up the body and physically build heat to prep the muscles. You may spend time building strength through holding poses longer, which move us into the para-sympathetic nervous system where deeper release in the body for true healing and relief happens. You will leave feeling like your body (& mind) experienced profound release while building strength which helps you build a better practice week by week! HIVE FLOW WITH SILKS (AERIAL YOGA): Hive Flows exist to get your heart rate up, and your body pumping with energy — add the silks in and you have a fun, energizing class that builds strength faster than you'd imagine! Open to all levels, these classes are great to tackle if you're comfortable with traditional Hive Flows on the mat, or after you've taken a Honey Flow with the silks and crave something a little faster paced.
